VP GE Digital, Founder & Past CTO Bit Stew (acquired by GE Digital, 2016)

Alex is a seasoned technology innovator and a leading expert in embedded software, massively parallel compute-architectures, and leveraging artificial intelligence to create unique solutions that provide tangible market value. Alex was co-founder of Bit Stew Systems Inc., a Yaletown Partners portfolio company, and was responsible for developing the initial software that has evolved into MIx Core with a focus on real-time analytics, complex data integration and artificial intelligence. Bit Stew was ranked as one of the Top 100 Analytics Companies and Top 100 IoT Start-ups by Forbes Magazine and was acquired by GE Digital in 2016. Prior to Bit Stew, Alex was also Chief Technology Officer with Navio Systems in Silicon Valley and led the technical vision for the company’s award-winning and patented rights-based commerce technology. Alex was named to Business in Vancouver’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2015 for his leadership and technology innovation. Alex studied aerospace engineering at San Jose State University and has authored numerous publications and patents.
