WIXOM -- Sen. Nancy Cassis, R-Novi, announced Wednesday that Wixom-based NxtGen Emission Controls USA Inc. has been given a $909,000 high technology employment tax credit for 10 years from the Michigan Economic Growth Authority.
The company, which delivers clean and efficient diesel technology, has plans to invest some $1.2 million to house its North American administration and manufacturing facility in Wixom.
It is expected to create about 47 jobs in five years and 106 jobs by 2017.
"This is a boon to Wixom and all of Oakland County," Cassis said. "High tech remains a growing sector, and this credit will help ensure that these jobs stay in southeast Michigan."
